SCHRODINGER PLATES : IS IT A TRUE EXAMPLE?
A widely circulating picture on the internet, Schrodinger Plates. Is it really a true example according to Schrodinger theory?
In this article we are going to discuss about this topic clearly.
Ok, so, starting from the beginning of the theory we start the article.
Actually, we know that, Schrodinger that is Erwin Schrodinger was a great physisist who worked very much on quantum theory. He had discovered many things in quantum theory including his wave equation.
In 1935, Schrodinger illustrated a thought experiment about the limitations of quantum theory. The experiment is a thought experiment about the life of a cat captured locked in a box. Erwin Schrodinger introduced a thought as, if a cat is kept locked in a box then, would the cat remain alive or dead.
Actually its a thought experiment not proven at all. Schrodinger explained that if a cat is kept locked in a box, then being locked in that box the cat will remain both alive and dead. That is the theory of quantum superposition. The cat is in both the states of alive and dead. When someone opens the box then he will get aware of the cats life. Either the cat will be living or dead when someone opens the box.
So, from the upper experiment the main quote of Schrodinger is, the cat is both living and dying or dead in the same time when kept locked in that box. This is the theory of superposition.
Here, there are two cases when we open the door , one is the cat may be found living or the cat may be found dead. Before opening, the cat is both alive and dead in the same time.
But, here the case is something different because when we open the almira door, the plates will surely fall down and got broken.
So, there is no two cases found if we open the door the plates will be broken but before opening the door the plates are not broken so, there's nothing any case of superposition.
Then how it could be Schrodinger Plates.
So, the example is not at all true.
